2009 - I was 38 years old.

Kind of a general recollection about being a kid in the early 1980s when you could still leave the house after breakfast, meet up with a friend or two, make it home just as the sun went down and it totally didn't matter to anyone what you were up to.

Lyrics

I got my bike It ain't no motor bike It's just a 10 speed oooh and that is all I need

I'm gonna ride it now I'm gonna hit the road There ain't no helmet laws Let the wind blow through my hair

mom don't know where i am dad don't know where i am it doesn't matter because i'll be all right now i'll be just fine

north albany to downtown it's a long way to go but i get around

ride all day play all night i'm gonna ride all day i'm gonna play all night

i hit the record store in fred meyer meet at market place and eat pizza

we're gonna ride up over the hill where the mall was eventually built make our way to king kone i got my huge ice cream better get your own

take it to bryant park ride till it gets dark it's getting late now better ride on home now i'll be just fine

north albany to downtown it's a long way to go but i get around

ride all day play all night i'm gonna ride all day and play all night

  • make sure there's a breakdown with staccato guitar drums/guitar/bass, open space and just clean, close-up vocals testifyin'

[du duh] oh, no

[hi-hat, kick] [du duh] i'm at the bottom of gibson hill i ain't gonna make it i ain't got the will cars are driving by they might see me gotta pedal hard gotta pedal strong pump it one foot after another climbin' higher, higher left, right, left, right pump it push it i'm gonna make it all right i'm gonna make it all night yeaaaahhhhhhhh!
