1989 - I was 18 years old.
Spliced? I had split the song in two and added Maura's birthday song in the middle, I suppose so it would be a surprise on whatever tape I gave her. For a while I lost the original version and had to piece together the two parts to reconstruct what I could.
But at some point, according to my spreadsheet, I did find the original so I'll post it when I re-rediscover it.
