Details

1990 - I was 18 years old.

An early acoustic version of this song, interrupted by a ringing phone.

At this time I was desperately looking for a job, so any time the phone rang I grabbed it in case it was someone calling for an interview. I eventually got the opportunity to go back to Ping's Garden.

What sounds like a bass track is actually a heavily detuned E string on my Harmony guitar because I didn't own a bass at this point in time. It sounded great to my ears, but was touchy to play because it would buzz if plucked too hard.

Soon after I bought the Sears & Roebuck bass guitar at the AAA Ace Buyers pawn shop for $40.

Lyrics

Hit me so hard it changed the rest of my life The phone is ringing time to answer it It could be a job
