1990 - I was 18 years old.
This is just the drum loop which I created using the Casio SK-1 sampling keyboard. I sampled a drum snippet from a 12" (what was it? Die Warzau?) and then taped a couple of keys down an octave apart to create the loop which made an interesting multi-layered drum beat.
An early recording where I would bounce tracks between tape recorders while recording a new track live on top of it all. This would introduce a lot of tape noise, but sure was a lot of fun to learn how to do.
The drum loop is a sample from a Die Warzau 12" "Welcome to America" played back on the Casio SK-1 with two keys taped down one octave apart.
